Low to medium overdrive based on the Klon Centaur.
Toggle version includes a second set of clipping diodes giving you both the stock germanium 1N34s and a second set of Telefunken OA128 silicon diodes for a slightly different clipping profile. A higher clipping voltage on the second set allows for more clean head room before breakup and a meatier breakup at higher gain settings.
All Mythical Overdrives are hand built one at a time, by me.
Each Mythical Overdrive is hand built using quality components housed in a Hammond powder coated enclosure with professional silkscreen graphics that are both durable and fantastic looking. You read that correctly, professional silk screen so no more chipped home paint jobs, no more decals that tear, no more guessing what the controls do. I have these enclosure powder coated and silk screened using my design by the same company that does work for the big boys.
This overdrive is very versatile and can range from a clean boost to moderate distortion. It will not get you into Rat tone, but it fills a nice gap just below it in my rig. The knobs are left to right: Volume, Tone, and Gain. The toggle switch selects from the two clipping options using 1N34 / OA128 or IN34 / OA126 diodes
Low Clippers
1N34 - vintage clipping at lower gain settings, germanium diodes provide warm tube amp like breakup
High Clippers
OA128 - NOS German Telefunken ( silicon based ) clip at higher gain setting allowing for more headroom and an increased boost. Great compliment to the 1N34 providing more versatility when you really want to cook the preamp section of your amp.
OA126 - NOS German Telefunken ( germanium based ) very rare and unique germanium in that is clips at a very high forward voltage resulting in germanium distortion tones at higher volume levels than normally associated with germanium diodes.

These are good starting points so adjust from there to your liking. The pedal can dial in sweet tones in a wide range of settings so play around and see what works best for your rig.

The Mythical Overdrive does not have a battery jack and requires a standard 2.1 mm DC jack. Any REGULATED power supply like, Boss, Pedal Power, or One Spot type power supply will work. It accepts a 9 volt source but uses a charge pump IC to boost the internal power to 18v for increased headroom.
READ CAREFULLY - Returns not accepted for damage due to use of incorrect power supplies !!
